The contest also awarded \u201cDouble Gold\u201d medals, the highest distinction of the competition, to 12 Portuguese wines. In the \u201cBest Value 2020\u201d category, Portuguese wines received 70 medals: DFJ Vinhos Portada Reserva 2018 was considered the \u201cPortuguese Wine of the Year\u201d Moscatel Adega de Favaios 1999 received the &#8216;Double Gold&#8217; medal, as well as Monsaraz Reserva CARMIM 2017 and Portada Reserva 2018.
