In total, the Wine Enthusiast distinguished seven Portuguese wines with excellent scores above 95 points. Portugal was the 4th most awarded country after the USA, France and Italy. The Port and Douro wine region was the most awarded Portuguese region with five still wines and a port. The tasting panel of Wine Enthusiast evaluated nearly 1,000 wines over the past year. The Top 100 Cellar Selections included those which, according to wine critics, will mature and evolve well through the next years.
