The wine sector organizations of both countries are once again joining forces in a European programme to promote knowledge of their wines\u2014this time targeting the markets of the United Kingdom, Norway, and Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n
The Spanish Wine Interprofessional Organization (OIVE) and ViniPortugal have launched a call for tenders to select an Evaluation Body to assess the results of a new programme co-funded by the European Union.<\/p>\n\n
Under the name BAC.EU (Building Awareness, Cultivating Trust: EU Quality Wines from Spain & Portugal), this new international promotional action will be aimed at HoReCa professionals and specialized media in the United Kingdom, Norway, and Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n
The implementation period will span three years (2026\u20132028), with a total budget of \u20ac4,067,265.80 and \u20ac135,000 allocated to the evaluation body. The programme is co-financed by the European Union under Regulation No. 1144\/2014 (Promotion of Agricultural Products) and has been approved within the 2025 Multi Programme Call.<\/p>\n\n
OIVE and ViniPortugal previously carried out a European programme entitled \u201cA Shared Passion\u201d (2022\u20132025), which achieved excellent results in promoting the quality and winemaking traditions of both producing countries to consumers and professionals across the European Union.<\/p>\n\n
