Founded in 1996, ViniPortugal is the Interprofessional Organisation of Portuguese Wine, recognised by order of the Ministry of Agriculture, and is the managing entity of the Wines of Portugal brand. Its mission is to promote the quality and excellence of Portuguese wines.

Portugueses wines in Vinalies Internationales

The Wines of Portugal collected 102 medals in the last edition of Vinalies Internationales

One of the most important wine competitions in France attributed 37 gold medals 65 silver medals to the Portuguese wines. The 23rd edition of the competition Vinalies Internationales brought together more than 3520 samples of wine from all wine regions of the world. Porto and Douro wine region achieved 42 medals and was the most awarded Portuguese region in the competition. Alentejo, Península de Setúbal and Lisboa are also some of the most awarded regions. The main goal of this contest is to emphasize the maturation capacity and intrinsic qualities of the wines. The Vinalies Internationales held in Paris and is organized by the Union of Winemakers of France. Check the full list of winners here.
