Wines of Portugal awarded in the Vinalies Internationales

Portuguese wines have collected 79 medals in the Vinalies Internationales Paris, one of the most important wine competitions in France

The 2015 edition of the Vinalies Internationales brought together more than 3500 samples of wine from all wine regions of the world. Among the 1069 medals attributed to the best wines in competition, 79 belong to the Wines of Portugal, which have been collected 25 gold medals and 54 silver medals. Douro and Alentejo were the most awarded Portuguese wine regions, standing out with 31 and 25 medals, respectively, followed by Terras do Sado with 13 awards. Douro has totaled 15 gold and 16 silver medals, Península de Setúbal obtained 6 gold and 7 silver medals while Alentejo achieved 4 gold and 7 silver medals. Dao, Minho, Lisbon, Tejo and Ribatejo wine regions are also part of the winning list of the prestigious competition, Vinalies Internationales. The main goal of this contest is to emphasize the maturation capacity and intrinsic qualities of the wines.
