ANCEVE - Associação Nacional dos Comerciantes e Exportadores de Vinhos e Bebidas Espirituosas

Address:

Rua do Salgueiral, 86 - 2.º - Sala 8 • 4200-046 Porto

Mission

Founded in 1975, ANCEVE is the business association representing economic agents in the wine sector, mainly merchants and exporters, but also including cooperative wineries and producers-bottlers. Its activities include representing its members before regional and national entities that oversee the wine sector. ANCEVE is thus present on the Advisory Board of the IVV - Instituto da Vinha e do Vinho (Vine and Wine Institute) and on the General Councils of the Wine Commissions of Vinhos Verdes, Dão, Bairrada, Trás os Montes, and Península de Setúbal, as well as on the Interprofessional Council of the IVDP - Instituto dos Vinhos do Douro e Porto (Douro and Port Wine Institute). It is also represented on the General Assembly and Marketing Committee of ViniPortugal. ANCEVE is responsible for negotiating the collective agreement for the sector with the unions, which applies to all companies. It supports its members on relevant legislation, particularly that applicable to wine and beverages, labor legislation, and taxation. It maintains an annual program of seminars, debates, and training courses, which take place in various locations throughout Portugal and focus on topics of ongoing interest: wine legislation, taxation, employment contracts, participation in trade fairs, marketing, internationalization, and others.
