Our intervention in the domestic market is essentially twofold: professional training and educating the tourists who visit us.
ViniPortugal has developed a vast training program within the framework of the Academia Vinhos de Portugal, aimed at training both catering professionals and sales advisors for large retailers in wine.
Internationally
Intervention is increasingly focused on training professionals and educating consumers, based on the Training and Education Program of the Academia Vinhos de Portugal, and in partnership with third parties such as wine schools or sommeliers’ associations.

Encouraging the consumption of good wine by the glass
In the two Salas de Provas (tasting rooms) in Lisbon and Porto, where visitors, mainly foreigners, can experience Portuguese wines: they can do so in a free tasting, or in themed tastings, in which an expert presents the wines, their grape varieties and regions of provenance.
At international level, intervention is increasingly focused on training professionals and educating consumers, based on the Training and Education Program of the Academia Vinhos de Portugal. This training can be given by ViniPortugal staff or by trainers from third parties, such as wine schools, with which partnership agreements are signed.
