Founded in 1996, ViniPortugal is the Interprofessional Organisation of Portuguese Wine, recognised by order of the Ministry of Agriculture, and is the managing entity of the Wines of Portugal brand. Its mission is to promote the quality and excellence of Portuguese wines.

Portuguese wines awarded in Berlin

Portuguese wines obtained 52 medals in the Berlin Wine Trophy Summer Edition.

The highlight goes to two Porto wines – Kopke Colheita 1957 and Quinta da Devesa 40 Anos – that got two Premium Berlin Gold medals. But Portuguese wines also achieved 33 gold medals and 17 silver medals. The Berlin Wine Trophy has two editions per year: one in summer other in winter. This edition about 120 wine judges reviewed 3500 wines in competition. The Berlin Wine Trophy results are available online at this website.
